Mukkumlung
Mukkumlung Pathibhara, a site deeply ingrained in the history of the Yakthungs (Limbu people of Nepal). This sacred place is believed to be a resting spot for Yuma Sammang, the deity known as “Mother Earth” or “Grandmother” of Limbu community. The ancestral land holds profound spiritual and cultural importance for Limbus. Mukkumlung as we Limbus called the mountain is also the route through which we carry our dead (with the help of a Fedangma (Sewa Samba), our spritual leader) and guide the departed soul to the next world through the process known as Mundhum.
